The LOMA course offering for life insurers is based around three key internationally-recognised designation programs:
- FLMI Level 1 Certificate in Insurance Fundamentals
- Associate, Life Management Institute
- Fellow, Life Management Institute
with complementary designations available in Customer Service, Customer Experience, and retirement income. A full list is attached.

LOMA courses are popular – 40,000 courses are taken each year – for a range of reasons.

Core LOMA life insurance courses available in Arabic
The FLMI Level 1 Certificate in Insurance Fundamentals (two courses) and the Associate, Life Management Institute (3 further courses, or 5 in total) are both available in Arabic. The full course material and the examinations are both fully in Arabic.
In this version, each course is examined by a single, end-of-course and supervised 2-hour examination which needs to be taken at an approved LOMA Examination Center. Such centers can be set up in company offices.
LOMA Course Credit agreed for holders of the IFCE
LOMA is delighted to confirm that, as a result of an initiative taken by DTC – Delelna al-Marfi for training, any individual who holds the IFCE- Insurance Foundation Certificate Examination issued by the Financial Academy under the supervision of the Insurance Authority, can apply to LOMA to receive credit for the first course of the FLMI Level 1 FLMI certificate program (LOMA 280 or LOMA 281).
This decision means that any individual who holds the IFCE can earn LOMA’s FLMI Level 1 Certificate in Insurance Fundamentals by taking only one additional course (LOMA 290 or LOMA 291) and can earn LOMA’s Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI)by taking only 4 courses, instead of 5. Both the Level 1 Certificate and the ALMI can be earned by studying and taking examinations in Arabic or English.
